Canaan Fir
(4 FT to 18 FT) Available cut and dug. Canaan (pronounced "Ka-nane")
is a relative newcomer to the Christmas tree market. It has many
similarities to both Fraser and Balsam firs in growth and appearance.
This tree will grow in areas not suited for other Firs. It tolerates over moist sites and fate frosts. It prefers deep loam soil but will vigorously grow in a variety of soil types with the exception of dry upland sites on a western exposure. You can expect at least a 6-inch or more growth each year.
The Canaan Fir makes a very good Christmas tree because of its excellent needle retention and fragrance.
Available as a choose 'n' cut tree and also can be purchased as a dug tree, balled and bur-lapped and placed in a wire basket so it is ready to plant.
